The Speakers


Stephen Wilson
is Managing Partner with Wilson Perumal & Company, Inc., a strategy consultancy with unique depth in operations.  He is co-author of Waging War on Complexity Costs, published by McGraw-Hill.  He is also co-author of Conquering Complexity in your Business and a contributing author of Fast Innovation, also published by McGraw Hill. He has a decade of experience advising senior clients in the US and Europe on issues relating to operations and strategy. Previously, Mr. Wilson was a Principal with George Group Consulting, and has prior experience with Marakon Associates. His education includes an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.



Andrei Perumal
is Managing Partner of the strategy consultancy Wilson Perumal & Company, Inc., and co-author of Waging War on Complexity Costs.  He is an advisor to senior leaders in both industry and government and draws from a variety of disciplines to help his clients solve their most challenging strategic and operational issues.  Prior to founding Wilson Perumal & Company, Mr. Perumal was a Principal with George Group Consulting and a consultant with Bain & Company.  He also served as an officer in the US Navy and worked in industry as an engineer with Beal Aerospace and as Director of Strategic Operations for Beal Bank.  Mr. Perumal has an Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Power Program.


Jason Santamaria
(Chicago roundtable speaker) is Vice President of Complexity Management & Innovation at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., a Fortune 500 company and a diversified global provider of hand tools, power tools and related accessories. Previously Jason was with Avery Dennison, a $6bn global manufacturer of pressure-sensitive materials, retail branding & information solutions and office products. At Avery Dennison, Jason was responsible for the company’s global Lean Six Sigma program at the corporate level, and he led multiple complexity reduction and innovation initiatives at the division level. Prior to joining Avery Dennison, Jason helped start George Group Consulting’s innovation practice, co-founded a business transformation consulting firm, worked as an associate in Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division and was a business analyst with McKinsey & Company. Prior to joining McKinsey & Company, Jason served as an artillery officer in the United States Marine Corps and conducted research in international economics as a J. William Fulbright Scholar in Venezuela. In 2003, he received from then-Secretary of State Colin Powell a leadership award for his contributions to the Fulbright program. His education includes a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA from the Wharton School. He is the lead author of The Marine Corps Way, a business leadership & strategy book, and the co-author of two Harvard Business Review articles.
